I’ve been meaning to buy this game forever but just haven’t gotten around to it. This is going to be a long week here in Dallas on travel for work and it’s supposed to rain like every day I’m here so at least I’ll have something to look forward to after every long day at work. I worked a full day today on Saturday so I needed something to cheer me up and still enjoy the weekend. I’ve heard so much good about this game and it is the subject of my favorite YouTube series so I figured I had to finally give it a try. The object of the game is to painstakingly build a car, including every bolt, and every part required. There are no instructions on how the parts go together or how the tools work and if you do it wrong, the car will behave in a realistic way. So if you forget to tighten a spark plug, it might shoot out and start running poorly on fewer cylinders. Now that’s my kind of realism! And while you are doing this, you have to eat food, go do odd jobs to make money to buy parts, amongst other things. So it should be lots of fun. We shall see how buggy it is and hopefully it’s playable. But for $15 it’s well worth a try. Here is the video series that has me hooked on this game :

In the earlier videos, he claimed it was going to be a three part video series. He is now on video number twenty something... It's amazing. I won't have nearly as much fun playing as I do watching these videos. But I still want to try it anyways.

When his first was released I thought “wow that sounds fun” but then I realized that basically “work on car, run out of money, car breaks, wait for pay day ” is my life anyway, and I’ve got enough of that already.

I request updates on how it goes. I’ve been looking at this for a while, but I hear it’s hear it’s buggy as shit and kind of hard, so I've put off buying it. Would love to hear that it's at least good for a laugh.

I have no fucking idea how to do anything. It took me a half hour to determine how to get the car into the garage hahaha. I am trying to figure out how to assemble the suspension right now. The controls are ridiculous and I love that I can't open a door unless I actually grab the door handle. This is perfect.

You are going to quickly learn to never drive the van anywhere. It's a deathtrap and the poop truck it much better for basic transportation. Only time you should use the van is to pick up the larger parts that don't fit in the poop truck. Or you do what I do and just drive the car and install the parts at the gas station.

I'm loving that the thing never starts without extreme effort. I thought I had to fix the van first before I could drive anywhere. Nope it just is a piece of shit. This game has so much character!

I so badly want to try this game but when I checked the specs of my laptop I don’t believe it even met the minimum specs let alone the recommended ones. Bummer

My laptop is a piece of junk from 9 years ago and it works acceptably. I doubt I meet the specs either but its functional.

You have to first build the whole car and then you can have it set up to even require you to press a button for the clutch. It is way too hard to drive even without that feature lol. Thankfully there is an auto clutch.
